Privacy Policy

AI Clothing Changer (ai-clothing-changer.com) lets you upload a photo of a person and have AI dress them in a different outfit, try on a garment, glasses or a wedding veil, or recolor what they are wearing. This policy explains what information passes through the site when you do that, why, who else touches it and how long it stays. "We", "us" and "our" refer to the people who operate ai-clothing-changer.com.

The short version

• The photos you upload are used for one thing: making the outfit change you asked for. We don't sell them, post them anywhere or feed them into AI training.
• We keep uploads only as long as the service needs them, and we delete yours on request.
• To keep the free tries fair, we store a salted, scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address plus a device identifier. Your actual IP address is not stored.

• You don't need an account. The one place we ask for an email address is an optional waitlist for a tool or option that isn't live yet.

Information you send us

Photos. The picture of the person you want to restyle, and on tools that take one, a picture of the clothing or item to try on. Your browser shrinks and compresses each file before it is sent. With the photos we receive the options you picked (for example the outfit, color or frame style) and any short description you type into a tool that offers a text box.

Waitlist email. A few tools or options on the site are still being built. If you choose one, a form offers to let you know when it is ready. Should you fill it in, we keep your email address, the page and option you were looking at, your answer to "What do you need it for?", and a salted, one-way hash of your IP address that helps us filter out bots. That email is used for a single message announcing the feature: we don't verify it, add it to any newsletter or pass it on.

Emails to us. If you write to us, we keep the thread so we can answer and follow up.

Information the site collects automatically

• Free-try counter. A salted hash of your IP address, an identifier your browser derives from its own settings, and the number of free images used. The browser identifier is also stored in your browser's local storage.
• Generation log. Which tool and options were used and when, whether the image was made, and links to the uploaded photo and the result.
• Text checks. Descriptions typed into a tool are screened for requests to remove or reduce clothing or to sexualize the person. Blocked requests are refused and are not sent to the AI model.
• Server logs. Like every website, our host handles your IP address, browser type and the pages you open in order to serve the site and stop attacks.

• Visitor statistics. We measure traffic with Plausible Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you; we only see totals such as page views, countries and referring websites.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set cookies for visitors. Your browser's local storage holds the device identifier described above and whether you prefer the light or dark theme. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes both.

Services that process data for us

A small number of outside companies help run the site. Each one gets only what its task requires:

• Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores uploaded photos; like any web host it sees your IP address when you connect.
• AI image model providers — receive your photo (and any clothing photo you add) with the chosen outfit options, run the model that dresses the person in the new outfit, and keep the result for a limited time so it can be downloaded.

• Plausible Analytics — counts visits without cookies and without knowing who you are.

Beyond that, we hand over information only when the law requires it or when it is needed to prevent fraud or protect someone's safety. We never sell personal information or share it for advertising.

How long data is kept

• Uploaded photos: stored only for running the service; email us and we will delete yours.
• Generated images: held by the AI provider that produced them for a limited period so you can download them, then deleted. Download any result you want to keep.
• Free-try records: kept while we offer free images; they never include a raw IP address.

• Waitlist entries: until the announcement for that feature has gone out, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever happens first.

Your rights

Email us to find out what we hold about you, get a copy, fix it or have it deleted, uploaded photos included. We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (the EU, the UK or California, for example), you may have additional rights, among them the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Age limit

AI Clothing Changer is intended only for people aged 18 and over, and photos of anyone under 18 must not be uploaded. If we find out that we have such a photo, we delete it.

People under that age shouldn't sign up for the waitlist either; if we learn that a minor has, we remove the entry.

Keeping data safe

All traffic uses HTTPS. Every upload is checked to confirm it is a real image before it is stored, and it is saved under a long, random, unlisted address. Anyone who has that address can open the file, so don't share your result links unless you mean to.

International processing

Our hosting and AI providers operate servers in several countries, so your information may be processed outside your home country.

Updates

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how your photos are used, we will announce it on the site before it applies.
